The ... AND Exercise part. It gets easier, it does Darlings!
Now, Mary runs (jogs) the slowest possible 5k a couple of times a week, and does a 17 minute mile a few more (on days when she has the wind to her back - otherwise it is more like a 19 minute mile). Sigh. She knows that absolutely any power walker would blow right by her. She doesn't care. What she is doing is good for her. Not just good for her, it is an astonishing accomplishment, considering the fact that she did not run one single step in her life before the age of 52. On consideration, that may be an exaggeration. It IS possible that in the far distant past, Mary might have run somewhere, as a child, maybe. Neither the Fab, nor Mary believe that to be likely, but, well ..., anything is possible.

Speaking of anything being possible. Mary started out just walking, not particularly fast at that. In March of 2013. She came up with every excuse under the sun to NOT do it. So, eventually, she didn't. At all.
Then came October of 2013, and halfway through the month, she decided to start walking again. She dusted off her treadmill, downloaded some music, and told herself that she deserved 40 minutes to an hour every day to work on better health.
