White Trash Salad

It is a know fact that no matter how perfect your beehive, no matter how spotless your white gloves, no matter how confident you are in yourself and your choices, there are those that will, perhaps, disagree. I, personally, celebrate the arrival of Spring (and any other festive occasion) with a salad made of fruit and whipped topping. Frozen fruit salad, fruit enrobed in drifts of whipped topping representing the exit of winter and the entrance of spring. I look on this ritual as drama, a connection to the great continuum of the turning seasons, food fraught with meaning not to mention frozen fruit salad is just yummy! However, as stated above, there are those that have not embraced their inner Fabiola and therefore do not understand the symbolism and yummyness of Frozen Fruit Salad. The Fab has returned

Why yes darlings! It HAS been 10- years since I posted. My how time flies! Speed dating version of my last 10 years with Mary. The fella became very ill, died (mixed emotions on that, no need for sympathy), Mary (and the Fab) loaded what they could into a 30 year old truck that Mary rebuilt, moved 400 miles west, bought a HUD house, fixed that up, Mary discovered the 3D CG software called Blender and she was off to the races. Oh, Mary didn't forget the Fab. Fab has been consulting on Mary's creative projects (Mary is kind of dull without the Fab.) Anywho, Quick link to one of Mary's projects featuring the Fab. The animation was created last year to celebrate sister J's birthday. Fab Celebrates sister j's birthday with a cake and a dance That darlings is a link to the Fab's ... (cough, cough) Mary's YouTube page where she posts animations that she has created, mostly featuring the Fab, because, of course.

A New Broom

Fabiola danced and dusted, sashayed and scrubbed her way through the late morning and a goodly part of the afternoon. She laughed and laundered then paused. Time for the kitchen floor. Grabbing her trusty corn broom, yes corn broom the dust and dirt was gone quickly, but not in the flash that Fabiola is used to. Sadly, even the best of corn brooms - eventually - will become too worn to be a house broom and be banished to the garage. So, Fabiola traded her house dress for her goin out and about gear then proceeded to the local farm store to buy a brand spankin new corn broom. Oh, there are soft brooms, brooms shaped to get into corners, brooms that are flat and take an endless series of expensive disposable paper pads (some of them with cleaing agents - some that start out dry but have a handy trigger that spritzes on the floor) there are brooms that plug into the wall and aren't really brooms at all.
